Biography
Simone Barabasz, NP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (AANPCB) working in the Department of Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Surgery, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She began her experience as a nurse at YNHH in 2010 with surgical patients and transitioned into the APRN role in 2022. As a part of the Endocrine Surgery team, Simone works to ensure new and established patients receive optimal postoperative care. This includes appropriate follow up, referrals, and a clear understanding of their diagnosis to cultivate the best patient centered treatment plan. Simone sees a variety of endocrine surgery patients in clinic, she assists in the operating room, and she helps care for patients post operatively on the inpatient floor.
Simone is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Simone received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairfield University, her Master of Science Nursing, Clinical Nurse Leader from Sacred Heart University, and her Post Master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Southern Connecticut State University.
